The Book of Danny: chapter 19

Saturday Night VIII

God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God says, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”

Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
And God says, “Out on Highway 61.”

Bob Dylan, “Highway 61 Revisited,” 1965

The Book of Danny: Chapter 18

Saturday Night VII

By the rivers of Babylon
Where we sat down
And there we wept
When we remembered Zion

For the wicked carry us away captivity
Require from us a song
How can we sing King Alfa song
In a strange land

So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight
Over I

Rivers of Babylon by The Melodians
B. Dowe – T. McNaughton, adapted from Psalm 137:1
